Why Huckabee Is A Problem

Excerpts from the "Christian"Post:

Quote:

One week after debating the issue of gay adoption with talk show host Rosie O’Donnell, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee sat down with fellow conservative Sean Hannity to comment on the contentious yet “respectful” debate, boiling down his point into a single statement.

“Personally, I don't think it (gay adoption)'s the ideal,” Huckabee told Hannity on Friday.

“I know people will say, well, we don't have the ideal. But still, kids need both the mother and father role models in their life,” he added.

Despite several rephrasings of the question, Huckabee avoided giving a direct answer, at best saying it was up to the states.

When asked again by Hannity whether he is against gay adoption, Huckabee said only that he doesn’t think it’s the ideal though he also said he has “no doubt” that O’Donnell loves her adopted children and that she has the best intentions for them.

“It's not a personal thing. This is not a big issue for me. I don't go around making this an issue. It's not something that is high on my priority list to talk about,” the former governer stated.

End quote.

Its not ideal? NOT IDEAL? So its a matter of a choice still? Not ideal means its still an option. Does God say its an option, ever? Is this even a matter of discussion??

Homosexuality is damnable. No homosexual will enter Heaven. One MUST be born-again, saved from their sins by Jesus Christ:

1Ti 1:10 the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine,

1Co 6:9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,

1Co 6:11 And such WERE some of you. BUT you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

Jud 1:7 just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire, serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire.

If homosexuality is condemned by God because it is a perversion and deviant behavior for those involved, what do you think it does to children?

"In 1973, the American Psychiatric Association (APA) removed homosexuality as a mental disorder from the APA's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual Of Mental Disorders (DSM-II)." There was a time when sodomy was considered a mental illness, not healthy, bad, deviant behavior.

And now?

Allowing homosexuals to adopt children is nothing more than using children to legitimize a horrific lifestyle that God condemns. And yet Huckabee merely thinks this is "not ideal". Its not even much of an issue for him.

Yet he claims to have been a pastor? Is he serious?

This is why men like him were never qualified to be elders much less any real type of leader.

I recall when he also showed wavering on yet another issue: Creation:

Q: At a previous debate, you indicated that you do not believe in evolution. What do you believe? Is it the story of creation as it is described in the Bible?

A: It’s interesting that that question would even be asked of somebody running for president.

I’m not planning on writing the curriculum for an eighth-grade science book. I’m asking for the opportunity to be president. But you’ve raised the question, so let me answer it. “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the Earth.” To me it’s pretty simple, a person either believes that God created this process or believes that it was an accident and that it just happened all on its own.

Q: Do you believe literally it was done in six days and it occurred 6,000 years ago?

A: I believe there is a God who was active in the creation process. Now, how did he do it, and when did he do it, and how long did he take? I don’t honestly know, and I don’t think knowing that would make me a better or a worse president.

That's not an answer. The answer SHOULD be: YES God created everything in six literal days as Genesis says, and as far as age goes, the Earth is young--6,000 years or maybe 10,000--whatever, but its YOUNG.

So Huckabee leaves a huge whole in his stand on these two HUGE and Doctrinal issues. He wavers and fears man rather than be bold for Christ and HIM alone.

1Co 16:13 Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
